Welcome to My Weight Loss & Fitness Journey

I am on a mission to shed 30kg, lower my body fat, improve my fitness level and to start eating in a healthier way. At the time of writing this I've lost around 16kg and have improved my fitness vastly.

The tools I am using to do this are:

  • My Fitness Pal - Calorie Counting App to track my calorie intake and macros

  • Garmin Connect - to track my fitness using my Garmin Vivoactive HR+

  • HASFIT Youtube Channel - for free workout videos 

  • C25K - to build up to running 5km

​

I started my journey in December 2016, initially I was hoping to take around a year to 18 months to get to goal but I've embraced the slow and steady approach and have been focused more on my nutrition and fitness.

​

In the last year I have learnt so much about myself and my capabilities, I never would have imagined developing a passion for running or for finding a love of rowing.

​

Thanks for taking the time to read my blog, I hope it can help others in realising that whilst weight loss isn't easy it's a lot more simple than some people would have you believe!
