Getting back into the swing of things

I have found it rather difficult to get back into the swing of things since I got back from my holidays this time around, it wasn't an issue the last 2 diet breaks I took so not sure if the increased cardio has just been making me hangry.

As of Saturday I have been consistently under the 100kg mark again (99.2kg yesterday which is the lowest I have been yay!), after 3-4 weeks of bobbing about around 101kg. I had been eating maintenance or just under but my logging had been half-hearted, my nutrition has been all to pot and I can tell my body is missing the strength training, as I had been more focused on cardio for a fundraising virtual event throughout July & August.

I have, I think, now finally got back on track, I have logged any binge-y days in there totality (some of them are not pretty reading but no point in trying to kid myself), food planning and prep is back at the top of my agenda, after a couple of weekends of travelling and playing catch-up with housework and personal admin. Also started focusing on the strength training, I have set up a workout plan using the calendar feature on Garmin Connect, and intend to stick to it as closely as possible, whilst remaining flexible around life.

I am not sure if I will hit my goal weight of 85kg by the end of December or even January, but I am going to keep at it regardless, I anticipate a loss of around 15lbs by the end of December, so could be looking at around March for goal.

85kg is only my initial goal, it will put me just above the top end of the BMI scale, I think it's important to think ahead beyond your goal weight into how to maintain or to continue with further weight or fitness goals. Once I have reached goal I will look into re-comping until I get down to a healthy BMI (eating at maintenance on active days or just below on rest days, increasing my strength training and ensuring adequate protein intake in order to lose body fat but maintain/build a little muscle).
