Follow up: Hypnotherapy
Ok, so throughout June/July I was trying my hand at a hypnotherapy app to help deal with my binge eating, initially it did seem to have some impact on my eating habits, although looking back I think this might have just been pure determination to have something work. I've had great success with hypnotherapy apps for sleeping issues in the past, so whilst I am disappointed this didn't really work for me, it may work for others.
After about 3 weeks, the habits started to lapse a bit and the more I read into the app I was using,
the less time I had for it, there were several comments demonising certain types of foods and low calorie alternatives. For years, I believed in order to lose weight, I had to eat "healthy foods", it wasn't until I got out of that mentality that I actually successfully lost a substantial amount of weight and maintained the loss for a little while.

It wasn't all bad though, I did find some useful techniques for mindful eating, which I am trying to integrate into my routine and will be attempting to use the Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) elastic band alongside meditation as a coping method to deal with my stress/emotional eating.
